Job Description

The Assistant Director of Wellness is a key member of our team at Bristal Assisted Living, responsible for ensuring the Resident's care and management needs are met. This role involves working closely with the Director of Wellness, administrative staff, and community-based service providers to provide high-quality care and support to our Residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Wellness and Reflections Unit, including the direct supervision of Resident Service Aides.
  • Assist the Director of Wellness in the development of the Resident's individual plan of care.
  • Provide primary Resident supervision and support, including orientation, social/emotional support, and arranging for needed services.
  • Conduct daily observational walk-throughs of the Reflections Unit to ensure no issues or concerns needing immediate attention.
  • Monitor and maintain documentation on the Emergency Response System to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • Must be familiar with and able to implement emergency procedures as outlined in the Emergency and Disaster Plan.
  • Responsible for the 24-hour, 7 days a week operation of the Wellness / Reflections Unit when the Director of Wellness is absent/unavailable.
  • Assures the accuracy of Resident records and documentation in adherence with company policies and regulations.

Working with the Team:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers, including the Resident, the Resident's family or Representative, the Resident's primary care physician, and any appropriate third-party providers.
  • Act as a liaison with Resident's personal physician and other healthcare providers.

Education and Training:

  • Supervise care staff and provide care to Residents.
  • Conduct and/or schedule staff in-services to improve the quality of care.
  • Assure in-service training, competency observations, and Medication Aide training.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Follow all workplace injury procedures, including completion of reports for timely reporting and issuing corrective action when necessary.
  • Adhere to and uphold company policies and procedures.
