About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Professional to join our team in the Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit at Penn State Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring seamless transitions between pre-operative and post-anesthetic periods.

Job Description
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Administer nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing wound care.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • BLS certification required prior to orientation completion.
  • ACLS certification preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Three years of critical care, emergency department, or surgical services experience.
