Job Overview

Position Summary:

This position is designed for a skilled Senior Associate to oversee and manage various operations within the tax practice area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services. The individual will report directly to the VP of Finance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide a comprehensive range of tax services in accordance with applicable laws and regulations within set deadlines.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients to deliver exceptional planning, consulting, and expertise.
  • Offer innovative tax strategies and review intricate income tax returns.
  • Coordinate and support tax services in collaboration with external tax firms.
  • Identify and address potential tax risks.
  • Oversee tax accounting requirements.
  • Manage the tax provision and compliance processes.
  • Enhance operational processes by developing or implementing best practices.
  • Oversee and coordinate tax audits.
  • Maintain accurate tax balances in the general ledger.
  • Prepare regular tax documentation and manage all information data requests.
  • Act as a representative of Gateway Recruiting, INC.'s core values and culture.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Associate.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, and various tax return types.
  • Familiarity with tax software and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines and resolve issues effectively.
  • Exceptional client service skills with a talent for building strong client relationships.
  • Proven leadership and personnel management capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Master's in Taxation, along with CPA certification.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally including time spent at a Big 4 Tax firm.
