Job Overview

Position Summary:

This position is designed for a seasoned Senior Associate to oversee and direct various functions within the tax practice area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services. The role will report directly to the VP of Finance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide a comprehensive range of tax services in accordance with applicable laws and regulations within established timelines.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients to deliver exceptional planning, consulting, and expertise.
  • Offer innovative tax strategies and review intricate income tax filings.
  • Coordinate and support tax services in collaboration with external tax firms.
  • Identify and address potential tax risks proactively.
  • Oversee tax accounting requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Manage the tax provision and compliance processes effectively.
  • Enhance operational processes by developing or implementing best practices.
  • Supervise and coordinate tax audits.
  • Maintain accurate tax balances in the general ledger.
  • Prepare regular tax documentation and respond to all information requests.
  • Serve as a representative of Gateway Recruiting, INC.'s Family Rules, Values, and Culture.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Associate.
  • Thorough understanding of tax accounting, compliance, and various tax return types.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and resolve issues effectively.
  • Exceptional client service skills with a talent for developing strong client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Master's in Taxation, along with CPA certification.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally including time spent at a Big 4 Tax firm.
