Key Responsibilities

Arcfield presents a remarkable opportunity for System Engineers to contribute to an Enterprise Space Communications Architecture mission. The selected candidates will manage and support the engineering lifecycle and the acquisition of both space and ground communication capabilities. With a legacy of over 40 years in this essential program, Arcfield is recognized for its exceptional customer support and consistent high performance. This established team is eager to enhance its expertise and is looking for individuals who will play a crucial role in the planning and acquisition of advanced systems, ensuring the successful development and delivery of innovative solutions.


Specific Duties Include:

  • Delivering technical and programmatic advisory services throughout program execution.
  • Monitoring technical progress, identifying risks, and evaluating technical solutions in partnership with development teams.
  • Providing Acquisition and Systems Engineering Support for the design and delivery of essential components.
  • Formulating acquisition strategies and documentation to facilitate program development and implementation.
  • Assisting in acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation, award, and execution utilizing various contracting methods.
  • Creating acquisition documents such as statements of work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), and proposal evaluation criteria.
  • Offering acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluations of proposals.
  • Collaborating across Program Offices to align on system requirements and transition prototype hardware to baseline programs.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an engineering-related field with 12 to 15 years of experience, or 10 to 13 years of experience with a master's degree, or 8 to 10 years of experience with a Ph.D. in an engineering-related field.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support.
  • Expertise in acquisition and contracting strategies, plans, and related documentation for both traditional competitive and alternative acquisition approaches.
  • Background in Space Communication or a related field.
  • Strong technical foundation with proficiency in evaluating and integrating complex systems solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise documentation.
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interfacing with personnel at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products for planning and communication.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence.
  • Technical knowledge in space communications technology.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and functions.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering.
