Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly experienced Space Systems Ground Lead to join our team. As a key member of our National Security and Space (NSS) Sector, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical experts to develop and integrate cutting-edge space systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize tasks across the team based on mission criticality and available resources.
  • Track and report progress at multiple levels of Contractor and Government leadership.
  • Provide expert-level space ground engineering analysis and recommendations to the blended SETA and Developer team.
  • Represent Ground equities in system engineering processes, including requirements management, configuration management, and risk management.
  • Lead a team of direct SETA support staff to ensure a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Experience with the Intelligence Community and/or the Department of Defense architectures, spacecraft, and payloads.
  • Bachelor's and 14 years of relevant experience; OR Master's and 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Superb technical skills and experience related to space ground systems hardware and software, with a focus on Command and Telemetry and Space Relay solutions.
  • Ability to lead and be the primary point of contact for one or more projects.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, strong briefing and writing skills, and ability to communicate very technical subjects to a diverse audience of senior decision makers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team environment with no supervision.
