Core Responsibilities:
  • Leading sourcing strategies, including supplier identification, capability assessment, and selection of optimal partners to meet organizational needs.
  • Managing quotations, purchase orders, lead times, and the delivery of procured components and assemblies to support various production phases.
  • Driving improvements through cost analysis, negotiation, and the implementation of cost-effective strategies in partnership with the team.
  • Ensuring supplier compliance with quality standards and addressing any issues in collaboration with the team, acting as the primary liaison between suppliers and Helgesen.
  • Actively participating in cross-functional teams, managing projects, and promoting continuous improvements, including support for new product introductions and supplier transitions.
  • Overseeing print packets and PPAP project plans in conjunction with the engineering department.
  • Working independently with minimal technical guidance while effectively managing multiple program priorities.
  • Collaborating with third-party suppliers to refine and enhance products, processes, and material specifications, while developing strategies to improve supplier quality and delivery performance.
  • Being part of an engineering team that directly supports and develops solutions for our global operations.
Engineering Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating customer requirements and preparing appropriate documentation for all procurement materials.
  • Coordinating with vendors on product pricing and recommending methods to reduce costs of components and final products.
  • Executing value/cost improvement projects using internal cost assessment tools.
  • Maintaining communication with the global sourcing team to identify standardized materials.
  • Reviewing drawings and technical specifications in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Ensuring accurate cost projections are established.
  • Overseeing PPAP/pre-production launch strategies.
  • Ensuring product quality meets established standards.
  • Providing prompt engineering support and solutions as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Strong program management skills to lead cost reduction initiatives.
  • Exhibiting self-discipline and motivation.
  • Proficient in manipulating and collaborating with 3D models.
  • Understanding manufacturing processes related to model work.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education and Experience:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or three to five years of relevant experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain sectors.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling (CREO preferred), ERP systems, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus but not required.
