Position Overview:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a highly skilled Electrophysics Engineer for a hybrid opportunity. This role requires a local presence with a mix of onsite and remote work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
As a consultant-level Electromagnetic Effects Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II) Engineer, you will:
  • Develop and implement procedures and plans for various TEMPEST activities across multiple air and space platforms.
  • Support the EMI/EMC qualification processes for products under development.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers while fostering their professional growth.
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to verify TEMPEST requirements.
  • Lead TEMPEST analyses and establish mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Evaluate design specifications to ensure adherence to TEMPEST standards.
  • Conduct testing of hardware and software systems in laboratory and aircraft environments.
  • Assist in project management by tracking progress and generating necessary documentation.

This position allows for some telecommuting, with a requirement for onsite work as needed.

Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • Experience in the defense or aerospace sectors.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC standards.
  • A current Certified TEMPEST Professional - Level I or Level II certification.
  • A minimum of 4 years of TEMPEST experience post-certification.
  • Active involvement in TEMPEST testing and report submissions within the last 3 years.
  • Knowledge of RF test and measurement tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional experience and qualifications that would be advantageous include:
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • An ABET accredited degree in electrical engineering or advanced degrees in related fields.
  • Certification from the International Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE).
  • Hands-on experience with software tools relevant to electromagnetic analysis.

Education:
A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry is required, along with significant related work experience.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours.

Miscellaneous:
Applicants will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
