We are currently seeking a General Maintenance Worker to execute routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities. This role requires practical skills and knowledge in various trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, welding, and electrical work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain various equipment including tractors, lawn mowers, and other machinery as necessary.
  • Perform lawn care and weed control, utilizing appropriate methods and equipment.
  • Conduct general cleaning and upkeep of facilities.
  • Handle dirt moving and brush clearing tasks as required.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements of electrical components, plumbing fixtures, and structural elements.
  • Utilize heavy machinery safely and effectively.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Document maintenance activities and inspections regularly.
  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of facility systems.
  • Perform grounds maintenance and janitorial duties as needed.
  • Support other labor categories as directed.
Work Conditions:
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical stamina.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift in various environments.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is necessary.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Job may involve exposure to high noise levels and vibration.
  • Overtime may be required to meet operational needs.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic knowledge of safety codes and maintenance practices is essential.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary.
  • Must be able to read and understand technical manuals.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are expected.
  • Experience in construction or vehicle maintenance is a plus.
  • Possession of a valid Class B Texas Driver's License is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
