Job Summary

The Wind Turbine Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the optimal function and output of wind turbines at our sites. This critical role involves daily operations, safety, quality control, and warranty repairs. The successful candidate will partner with site leadership to execute contractual obligations and timelines, while maintaining alignment with GE Vernova's excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch and variable speed turbines
Assist in all areas of site operations as directed by manager, observing all safety requirements
Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures
Collaborate with GE's remote operations center as needed

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Wind Technician or 4 years of work experience in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical fields
Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
Basic computer skills
Valid driver's license
Ability to handle repetitive weight and climb towers up to 300 feet daily
Meet specified manufacturer weight limits
Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules and on-call per site needs

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Electronics field
Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field
Experience with heavy equipment and crane/rigging requirements
Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel at all levels
Wind turbine experience
