Job Overview

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and facilitate the identification of critical metrics, data analysis, and process enhancements, ensuring the effective implementation of optimized workflows for both clinical and administrative operations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and design improved workflows that boost productivity and resource allocation.
  • Employ Lean Six Sigma and other process enhancement methodologies to drive multidisciplinary initiatives aimed at improving organizational efficiency, enhancing quality, minimizing waste, and ensuring high levels of patient care and satisfaction, as well as staff engagement.
  • Take charge of developing a standardized monitoring and reporting framework to support a culture of continuous improvement; identify and facilitate problem-solving initiatives to address system, process, and performance discrepancies.
  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving expertise to conduct root cause analyses, evaluate current business performance, and spearhead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Establish and maintain systems to ensure that insights and best practices are disseminated throughout the organization.
  • Design and oversee an internal Lean Six Sigma certification program.
  • Mentor and coach personnel at all levels on Lean Six Sigma principles, empowering them to engage in improvement initiatives and sustain progress over time.
  • Act as a proactive and innovative change agent to foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Work alongside the data analytics team to create an analytical framework that supports informed decision-making and ongoing enhancement.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Perform additional duties that support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in healthcare administration, industrial engineering, or management information systems.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Lean practitioner in healthcare environments is required.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma is required for individuals without a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or management information systems.
  • Direct experience collaborating with clinical teams and providers in operational settings.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities and the foresight to anticipate operational challenges.
  • Proven ability to plan and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to implement significant projects or change initiatives.
  • Comfortable and skilled in collaborative environments with physicians, healthcare providers, and management.
  • Able to manage sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: confident in exercising independent judgment and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of conveying information clearly and concisely across various communication platforms.
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on sound judgment.
  • Proficient in computer applications; including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic medical records.
