HR Generalist

Position Summary:

The HR Generalist will primarily concentrate on total rewards, including benefits and compensation, compliance, and the administration of HRIS systems. This role will also encompass various HR responsibilities such as employee relations, policy formulation, and the dissemination of information regarding employee programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Total Rewards:
    • Coordinate benefit plan designs in collaboration with the VP of HR and external brokers.
    • Administer all employee benefits and retirement programs, managing annual enrollment processes.
    • Act as a liaison with benefits administrators and insurance providers to resolve employee issues.
    • Evaluate compensation structures and recommend adjustments to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
    • Oversee employee leave requests, providing support and expertise to HR teams across locations.
    • Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and leave policies.
  • HRIS Management:
    • Serve as the primary contact for HRIS technical support, ensuring optimal system functionality.
    • Maintain the HRIS database, managing upgrades, permissions, and data security.
    • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement necessary system improvements.
    • Generate accurate reports and dashboards, compiling monthly data for analysis.
    • Automate solutions for information requests where feasible.
    • Train new HR staff on HRIS usage and functionalities.
  • Compliance:
    • Draft and update policy documents in collaboration with the VP of HR and legal counsel.
    • Manage compliance reporting and ensure accuracy in employee notifications.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Support employee relations initiatives, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
    • Assist with various HR functions, including recruitment and training.
    • Maintain updated information on the HR Intranet.
    • Participate in committees focused on employee wellness and safety.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in human resources or business, coupled with 3-5 years of relevant experience, is required. Experience in benefits, compensation, and HRIS is essential. HR certification is preferred. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
