Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant General Manager to join our team at Innovative Dining Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing ongoing training and development to our front-of-house staff, ensuring service standards are consistently executed and achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Training: Act as a liaison between team members and management, executing each shift at the highest level of hospitality, and creating a positive work environment for our employees through friendly, caring, and professional communication.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrate strong operational skills and impeccably high standards of service, ensuring that company standards are being met by communicating effectively with our employees and consistently reinforcing our policies and procedures.
  • Service Delivery: Oversee all areas of service, including floor management, resolving guest complaints, cultivating relationships with new and returning guests, and creating a proactive sales culture with all staff.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist the General Manager with scheduling, purchasing, managing labor, food and beverage costs, and P&L statements, guaranteeing optimum operational efficiency by overseeing restaurant repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, liquor, safety, and employment regulations by clearly communicating and reinforcing standards and procedures to all staff members.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of management experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant.
  • Relevant certificates, licenses (e.g., Servsafe) or registrations, including a valid Food Handler Card and a valid Alcohol Awareness Training Certificate.
  • Knowledge and compliance with food and beverage regulations, safety laws, and proper sanitation regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suites: Outlook, Word, Excel; Open Table and Restaurant POS System.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
  • Flexible schedule and be available to work daytime, evening, and/or weekend shifts.
