Job Summary

This role provides essential clerical support to the facility nursing team, ensuring the smooth operation of medical supplies and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies, ordering as needed to meet established par levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to the DON or Administrator.
  • Utilize electronic software to track medical supplies and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Ensure the supply area remains clean and organized, adhering to facility standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the DON, Administrator, and Regional VP regarding supply levels and quality concerns.
  • Coordinate transportation appointments and document physical transportation as directed by the Unit Coordinator.
  • Monitor lab schedules and report as requested by the Unit Coordinator.
  • Complete unit filing and respond to call bells, informing staff of resident needs.
  • Answer unit telephones and forward calls/messages as directed by the Unit Coordinator.
  • Prepare MD appointment packets for external medical appointments.
  • Complete forms and reports as required/requested, including copier count, glove count, and defibrillator reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Unit Coordinator, DON, or Administrator.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Respect resident rights and dignity.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, coordinating activities with other departments to ensure resident safety and empowerment.
  • Strive for excellence in performance, demonstrating accuracy, timeliness, and a commitment to quality.
  • Attend and complete all required in-services and annual training requirements.
  • Maintain Corporate Compliance standards.
  • Identify and resolve problems, creating action plans and measuring outcomes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting and cooperating with staff and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Lead a team, delegate tasks professionally, and bring concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; preferred Associate's degree.

Minimum 6 months experience in a customer service position; preferred 1 year of experience.
