Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to a cleaning schedule to ensure resident rooms, common areas, and offices are clean and tidy.
  2. Reorganize furniture as needed and inspect for wear and defects, reporting any maintenance requests.
  3. Empty and replenish waste baskets, keep designated smoking areas clean, and restock soap dispensers and bathroom tissue.
  4. Clean rooms after resident discharge and prepare rooms for new residents.
  5. Respect residents' rights, particularly regarding privacy and confidentiality.
  6. Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately.
  7. Store cleaning chemicals safely and use personal protective equipment when necessary.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel to ensure the safe and effective functioning of the facility.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in institutional housekeeping is a plus.
  • Must pass a background check and provide documentation of tuberculosis clearance.
Work Environment

Our facility offers a well-lit, air-conditioned, and heated environment. You may be exposed to residents with communicable diseases or those who are confused.
