  • Discusses inspection findings with customers, recommends necessary repairs, and generates work orders.
  • Creates detailed repair orders that outline time, costs, and labor estimates for services.
  • Documents customer concerns clearly on repair orders to aid technicians in problem-solving.
  • Explains performed services and associated charges to customers.
  • Addresses and resolves customer complaints effectively.
  • Schedules service appointments efficiently.
  • Collects customer and vehicle information prior to service when feasible.
  • Welcomes customers promptly and gathers vehicle details.
  • Conducts test drives with customers as needed to verify issues or refer to a technician.
  • Reviews service history, inspects vehicles, and suggests additional services as necessary.
  • Educates customers on vehicle maintenance and the importance of adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Provides accurate written estimates for labor and parts.
  • Establishes expected completion times and communicates with the dispatcher as required.
  • Secures customer signatures on repair orders and provides copies for their records.
  • Determines payment methods and obtains necessary credit approvals.
  • Informs the dispatcher of incoming work and monitors repair progress throughout the day.
  • Communicates with customers regarding any changes in estimates or timelines, ensuring proper authorization for additional repairs.
  • Implements and maintains a service marketing strategy.
  • Reviews completed repair orders to ensure all work is finalized and additional authorizations are documented.
  • Ensures vehicles are parked correctly, secured, and that keys are organized.
  • Keeps service department documentation, pricing guides, and menus current.
  • Implements quality control measures to minimize repeat repairs.
  • Maintains high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Handles phone inquiries related to appointments and ongoing service work.
  • Inspects vehicles for bodywork needs, informing customers and providing estimates as necessary.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and keeps the work area tidy.
