Job Summary

The Background Compliance Specialist is a key member of the Corporate Operational Services Department, responsible for ensuring compliance with company policy, practice, and the law in the Background department. This department consists of three unique disciplines: Adjudication, Customer Service, and Contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjudication: Comply with company policy, practice, and the law at all times, and apply company policy and practice to determine the eligibility of candidates based on client criteria using the company's third-party background check vendor.
  • Customer Service: Educate and reinforce the company's background investigation policies and procedures to field office and corporate personnel, and work directly with field offices and/or corporate personnel, as necessary, to document custom client background check requirements or instructions.
  • Contracts Specialist: Review background check requirements presented by clients in service agreements, translate written background check requirements into background check services for the purpose of creating a custom and compliant screening package, and document background check requirements into internal systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience in a professional setting required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose complex problems
  • Ability to operate, at all times, in accordance with company policy and practice
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
