Role Overview

The Inventory Management Auditor plays a crucial role in supporting Zimmer Biomet by nurturing and enhancing relationships with our clientele, which includes distributors, independent agents, direct sales teams, and support personnel. The primary goal is to meet, and frequently surpass, our clients' expectations by executing thorough inventory audits that are comprehensive and reconciliatory, ensuring that inventory records and traceability are accurately maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field travel to perform physical audits across various locations on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with the Audit team to uphold effective inventory controls and traceability across multiple physical sites.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to distributors and sales management on inventory management policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Engage with distributors, sales management, and operations staff to address inventory discrepancies; supply supporting documentation to the Audit Manager to facilitate and guide discussions to resolution.
  • Assist with additional distributor operations-related tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures, both written and verbal, consistently.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly with advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, especially MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a strong aptitude for building positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Results-driven with a proven ability to work effectively within a team setting.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated eagerness and willingness to learn.
  • Capable of working independently on assigned responsibilities.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stretch, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Must secure necessary immunizations to access sterile surgical environments for inventory assessments.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
Educational Background
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a college degree is preferred.
  • 0-3+ years of relevant experience, ideally within the medical device sector.
  • Prior experience in Inventory Control practices and physical auditing is advantageous.
  • Experience with warehouse inventory systems is preferred.
Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
