PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

:
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of financial accounts from the day shift.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and facilitate room assignments.
  • Oversee front desk operations, managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
  • Provide information regarding payment options and confirm identification and payment methods.
  • Collect essential guest information during registration, including contact details and stay duration.
  • Enhance guest satisfaction by coordinating wake-up calls and fulfilling other requests.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Generate invoices, bills, and checks for vendors, staff, and contractors.
  • Maintain and update all official documentation relevant to the position.
  • Verify that all end-of-day procedures are completed successfully.
  • Handle inquiries related to potential bookings via phone.
  • Share information about the hotel, including available rooms, pricing, and amenities.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping to ensure all rooms are ready for check-in and that all guests have departed by check-out time.
  • Confirm group bookings and arrange tailored experiences for guests and event participants.
  • Stay informed about company standards and policies.
  • Complete the computerized audit for the hotel at the close of business, documenting daily financial transactions, including telephone charges and food and beverage sales.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience in a hotel front desk role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to interact with guests and team members.
  • Familiarity with computer operations is essential.
  • Knowledge of office equipment such as copiers, printers, and telephones is necessary.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions.
  • Capability to operate in standardized situations with minimal variability.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
  • Self-discipline, effective time management, and the ability to work independently are required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions with arms, hands, and legs.
  • May need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess the ability to use close vision, distance vision, and color vision effectively.
  • Ability to function in mentally and physically demanding situations is necessary.
  • Must be available to work overnight shifts and maintain alertness for a minimum of eight hours.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.
  • Six months of related experience or training is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment while often working independently during shifts.
