Digital High Performance Computing Sr. Principal Specialist

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Raytheon's Digital Technology team as a Principal High-Performance Computing (HPC) Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-performance computing administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment to develop and implement new technologies based upon industry best practices.
- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems at a high scope and complexity to include the integration of High-Performance Computing hardware, software, and operating systems (OS).
- Lead and support the engineering community in software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, hardware, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance on high-performance computing systems and work across DT functions to standardize processes and procedures.
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced DT HPC processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree (prefer but not limited to STEM major), and 8 years of experience, an associate's degree with 10 years' experience, or in lieu of degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification) within 6 months of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
- Experience in Project Leadership, Management, or Project management in an DT domain Basic to advance scripting experience.
- An active DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Windows and Unix security hardening, systems integrations, advanced troubleshooting, and authentication service integration (LDAP).
