Static Testing Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Static Testing Specialist to join our team at The Staffing Resource Group, Inc. As a Static Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting static tests on various materials to assess their properties such as strength, durability, and elasticity. You will also be responsible for preparing samples from engineering and fabrication sources for testing, operating standard 12" shop wet saw for cutting composites, and setting up and utilizing data acquisition and control computer to run tests, monitor and record data collection for customer requested reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct static tests on various materials to assess their properties such as strength, durability, and elasticity.
  • Prepare samples from engineering and fabrication sources for testing.
  • Operate standard 12" shop wet saw for cutting composites.
  • Set up and utilize data acquisition and control computer to run tests, monitor and record data collection for customer requested reports.
  • Maintain and confirm calibrated testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with customer representatives and Center Engineers, and technicians to include the Quality Assurance customers requiring support.
  • Follow safety regulations and procedures during the testing process.
  • Support customers in research and process walks of testing in an effort for them to understand, investigate and or validate the impact of various conditions on different materials and test set ups.
  • Setup and prepare specimens for specified time duration and conditions in environmental chambers per Condition Test request.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance of all test machines, environmental chambers, adapters, and hand tools associated with Static Test role in the EPC.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of relevant testing experience.
  • Previous experience with Static Testing and Fabrication.
  • CNC Precision Grinding Machine experience.
  • Basic Machine Shop Equipment experience.
  • Data Acquisition and Data Analysis experience.
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
