Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management and Merchandise Analyst to join our Global Merchandising team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of item data, supporting business adoption of data governance practices, and facilitating issue resolution in collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and update processes for item lifecycle management, including item creation, discontinuation, and item master data change.
  • Secure the implementation of the item onboarding process, policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Create and document data processes and data-related policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data management efficiency.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all item data.
  • Identify item data discrepancies and work with business SMEs and data owners to address issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, procurement, data governance, supply chain, and other departments to ensure item data meets their needs.
  • Work closely with IT, Data Governance, and vendors for item data sources, tools, and services, ensuring compatibility with the organization's goals and systems.
  • Train and support staff on item data management best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal data management policies and external regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, Data Management, Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, inventory management, retail merchandising, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of data governance, item management best practices, and industry standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of PDI as ERP and Back Office is a plus.
  • Knowledge of modern database and information system technologies.
  • Familiarity with PIM systems (1WSync, Syndigo, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive change across the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal well with ambiguity, complexity, change, and pace. Comfortable managing multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing amongst them.
  • Capable of leading and managing people and processes in a dynamic environment, without relying on direct supervision. Must excel in independently driving outcomes and navigating ambiguity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with strong ability to synthesize and simplify complex ideas into compelling presentations.
  • Travel required less than 10% of time, some international. Passport or travel documentation/visa required.
  • Flexibility around working hours required, working with teams across time zones.
