Job Title: Coating/Painting NACE Certified Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Coating/Painting NACE Certified Inspector to join our team at SGS. As a Coating/Painting NACE Certified Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of industrial materials and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Job Summary:

The Coating/Painting NACE Certified Inspector will be responsible for:

  • Conducting visual and physical inspections of industrial materials and equipment
  • Witnessing testing and reviewing QA/QC documentation, including MTRs
  • Issuing reports of findings within specified time limits
  • Signing independent contractor agreements/sub-contractor agreements with SGS North America Inc.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Candidate must be qualified and certified by NACE for coating/paint inspections and familiar with associated codes and standards
  • Candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in fabrication inspection of fixed and/or rotating machinery and equipment
  • Candidate will be familiar and have experience with welding processes and equipment being used on the project
  • Candidate will have experience with mechanical testing of welds and post-weld heat treating requirements
  • Desirable qualifications include experience with welding of austenitic stainless steels for cryogenic service and additional certifications such as CWI or NDT
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $30 to $45 per hour, with mileage reimbursement for round-trip driving and expense reimbursement for extended travel. Work schedule is ad hoc, as required by the client.
