Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Administrative Assistant to join our NY State Arbitration team. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the IDR process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain updated knowledge of project and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more process areas.
  • Analyze data submitted for Independent Medical Review.
  • Collect and analyze incoming data and reports from treatment providers, facilities, participants, labs, and health plans.
  • Respond to incoming calls from clients, health plans, providers, and enrollees regarding case status and the appeals process.
Requirements
  • Associate degree with 2+ years' experience.
  • Experience in lieu of an Associate degree (HS Diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience) also considered.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Salesforce platform highly preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as a part of a team.
  • Familiarity with insurance documentation, explanation of benefits, and/or claim forms highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPT codes preferred.
Home Office Requirements
  • Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required / 50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity.
  • Minimum 5mpbs upload speed.
  • Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router.
  • Private work area and adequate power source.
  • Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US.

Compensation

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market, and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.

Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards.

Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.

Hourly Base Pay Minimum for this Position: $18.50

Hourly Base Pay Maximum for this Position: $20.00
