We are seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter to join our team at One World Global Services. As an ASL interpreter, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between individuals who are deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, and/or oral.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will possess excellent interpreting skills, a strong understanding of deaf culture, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:- Interpreting Services: Effectively interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English in a variety of settings, including meetings, conferences, and educational settings.
- Compliance and Certification: Maintain compliance with national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements, as applicable.
- Professional Conduct: Adhere to guidelines for NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct and maintain the highest level of professionalism in all interactions.
- Task Completion: Accurately complete assigned tasks, projects, and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines.
- Technology and Adaptability: Possess the ability to quickly learn and implement new and changing technologies, as well as work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Computer and Internet: Possess a computer or laptop, Windows 10 or higher, a steady wired internet connection, and a minimum of 20 Mbps download speeds and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
- Equipment: Have a webcam, USB wired headset, and a backdrop with a contrasting, solid color.
