Job Summary

The Water Safety Specialist at Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and staff in an assigned area. This role requires a strong commitment to preventing potential accidents and responding to emergencies in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies using the '10/20 Protection Rule' and maintain skills at a 'test-ready' level.
  • Effectively manage incidents, including CPR, lifeguarding skills, and basic life support.
  • Think critically and act professionally in emergency situations.
  • Protect personal safety and well-being while maintaining a high level of situational awareness.
  • Understand and follow disease transmission prevention protocols.
  • Meet physical demands of the role, including lifting and dragging up to 150 pounds and sitting/standing for extended periods.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Knowledge of aquatic industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to project voice across large distances.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and procedures.
  • Shallow water/Special Facilities Lifeguard license from the International Lifeguard Training Program/CARMP.
