The Production Changeover Specialist is responsible for performing equipment and production line changeovers, ensuring that machinery is set up correctly for different production runs.

This role involves disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling production equipment and verifying that it operates according to required specifications.

The specialist must adhere to strict safety and quality standards to support smooth transitions between production runs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment changeovers on production lines as per the production schedule, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Set up and adjust machinery and equipment for different production runs, including adjusting settings, changing parts, and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment during and after changeovers to ensure it is in good working order for the next production run.
  • Verify that machinery is operating within the specified parameters and that the first run of a new production batch meets quality standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures during changeovers to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Requirements:

  • Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and document processes.
