Job Summary

Pain Specialists of America LLC is a leading provider of comprehensive pain management services. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for daily clinic appointments by ensuring all necessary reports are available for review by the provider.
  • Clean and prepare examination rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Room patients according to scheduling criteria set by the provider and obtain vital signs.
  • Record patient information, including vital signs, quality reporting data, and changes in medical history, prior to the provider entering the patient's room.
  • Obtain urine and blood serum specimens from patients and package and submit to the lab according to protocol set by the provider.
  • Run outstanding order reports for clinic follow-up and prepare medication refills for the provider.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for medications when requested and assist in maintaining the medical inventory.
  • Assist with patient calls and maintain sample logs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant highly preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the medical field required.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel and rotate between different Pain Specialists of America LLC clinics.
