Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist in our Respiratory Care Services department plays a critical role in administering respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients, under the guidance of a physician's order. This includes oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation. The ideal candidate will plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy, communicating with the physician and healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients, under the guidance of a physician's order.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy, communicating with the physician and healthcare team.
  • Understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, vision, and values in patient care management.
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy, with a preference for emergency/trauma experience.
  • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 30 days of hire.
Work Schedule

7am-7pm, with weekend and call requirements as needed.
