Job Title: Federal Court Security Officer

Walden Security is seeking experienced and skilled individuals to fill the role of Federal Court Security Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing armed security services in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform entrance control, enforcing the District's entry and identification system, and operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
  • Conduct roving patrols of facilities and grounds, adhering to applicable post orders.
  • Stand guard at stationary posts, monitoring closed-circuit television, duress alarm systems, and other security equipment.
  • Provide armed escort services for officials, personnel, and designated individuals.
  • Enforce federal law while performing assigned duties, detaining individuals attempting to gain unauthorized access to Government property or commit acts that imperil the safety and security of Government employees, property, and the public.
  • Prepare various reports and records regarding contract performance issues, such as labor hours worked, accidents, fire, bomb threats, unusual incidents, or unlawful acts that occurred within the court facility area.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency, with all three (3) years occurring within the last seven (7) years.
  • General arrest authority.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past five years.
  • Clearance from the Department of Justice.
  • Completed or graduated from certified Federal, state, county, local, or military law enforcement training academy and able to provide certification as proof.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Must meet medical standards as specified by the client, with physical demands based on the contract and requiring an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Training:

Requires additional specialized training.

Certification Requirements: Graduated from a Police Academy.

Pay Rate: $43.73—$43.73 USD.
