Job Summary

Walden Security is seeking a highly skilled Court Security Officer to provide armed security services to courthouses in Washington D.C. under the USMS contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform entrance control and enforce the District's entry and identification system.
  • Conduct roving patrols of court facilities and grounds.
  • Stand guard at stationary posts, monitoring security equipment and courtrooms.
  • Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, and other designated individuals.
  • Enforce federal law and order, detaining individuals attempting to gain unauthorized access to Government property.
  • Prepare reports and records regarding contract performance issues.
  • Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect courtrooms prior to proceedings.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past five years.
  • Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice.
