Chief Pilot - Multi-Engine Propeller Aircraft
Position Overview
The Chief Pilot is responsible for operating multi-engine propeller aircraft, specifically the King Air 200, to transport passengers, cargo, or for other commercial operations while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Reporting Structure
This role reports directly to the Chief Pilot.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:
- 1200 hours of total flight time
- 100 hours in turbo prop aircraft
- 500 hours of cross-country flight experience
- 100 hours of night flying
- 75 hours of instrument flight time, with at least 50 hours in-flight
- Possession of a valid driver's license
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not entail supervisory duties.
Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic and may involve exposure to various conditions, including:
- Proximity to moving mechanical parts
- Working at heights and in outdoor weather conditions
- Exposure to vibrations and airborne particles
- Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity
The noise level is typically high.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Adhering to all FAA regulations and company policies while acting as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Second-in-Command (SIC).
- Reviewing aircraft documentation to assess factors such as load weight, fuel levels, weather conditions, and flight plans.
- Making necessary adjustments to fuel, load, route, or schedule to ensure flight safety.
- Monitoring gauges to confirm that all operational parameters are within prescribed limits before engine start.
- Starting engines and taxiing the aircraft to the runway.
- Conducting pre-flight checks and communicating with air traffic control for takeoff clearance.
- Executing flights in accordance with established flight plans and regulations.
- Maintaining accurate logs of flight time, altitude, and fuel consumption.
