Job Summary
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic to join the team at the Dauphin County Maintenance Organization.
In this role, you will perform routine maintenance, detect and diagnose mechanical issues, and repair or replace faulty components on a diverse fleet that includes construction machinery, trucks, cars, and various hand tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
- Using specialized tools and techniques to detect and diagnose mechanical issues
- Repairing or replacing faulty components as needed
- Collaborating with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment
- One year of experience in the diagnosis and repair of diesel vehicles or equipment
- A valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- A Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
