Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our opioid treatment programs in a comfortable outpatient clinic setting. As a Medical Director, you will provide patient care, medical evaluation, and establish dosing levels, while interacting with regulatory bodies and managing subordinate physician extenders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview, manage, train, and evaluate physician extenders
  • Implement and enforce medical policies, procedures, and training
  • Assist with development of clinical policies, procedures, and training
  • Correspond with regulatory personnel and accrediting bodies as necessary
  • Provide reports and data to the CEO and Medical Director OTP
Patient Care
  • Plan and supervise provision of treatment for patients according to established CSAT and state guidelines
  • Sign patient record notes
  • Oversee patient care provided by physician extender, signs charts, dosing levels, etc.
  • Place patients into treatment
  • Examine patients, perform comprehensive physical examinations, and document health history and examination results
  • Initiate, alter, and terminate replacement narcotic therapy medications following strict protocols
  • Supervise the administration and dispensing of medications
  • Confers with patients' private physicians as needed
  • Examines staff after on-the-job accidents or injuries as needed
  • Serves as a clinic in-service resource
  • Provides patient education specific to various disease processes within our scope of practice
  • Oversees the continuum of care process for patients
  • Maintains strict patient, employee, company, and computer confidentiality
Requirements
  • Board Certified in Addiction Psychiatry
  • At least 1 year of Addiction Medicine experience
  • Current state license
  • Medicare/Medicaid
  • Ability to prescribe methadone and buprenorphine
  • Knowledge of Medical Assisted Treatment is preferred
  • Satisfactory drug screen and background check
