Cash Management Specialist Job Description

The Cash Management Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely flow of cash within the organization. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions, including ACH's, wire transfers, and internal transfers.
  • Prepare and review financial reports to ensure compliance with established guidelines and company policies.
  • Work with property management companies to ensure proper funding is received and recorded for monthly and quarterly investor distributions.
  • Manage journal entries for cash and electronic cash transactions.
  • Establish and close sub-accounts at banks for cash operations.
  • Research and resolve reconciling items and overdrawn accounts with banks.
  • Assist the Finance and Accounting group with cash management issues and provide support for quarterly tax estimate and extension payments.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Over 2 years of prior professional accounts payable/receivable experience, preferably in an office environment.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including LOOKUP, SUMIF, and Power Query functions.
  • Intermediate skills in Yardi (or comparable general ledger software program).
  • Strong keyboarding skills and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
