About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Salem Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct care to patients in a restraint-free environment, promoting their recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical attention to patients requiring care in voluntary and involuntary situations, under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Work collaboratively with the Nurse Manager to ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of Avade Training within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using computers and hospital software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an acute care hospital setting, inpatient mental health unit, or related field.
  • CPR Certification.
