Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:
Salem Hospital, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our psychiatric care team, you will provide direct care to patients within our inpatient psychiatric units.
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective mental health intervention to assigned patients
- Coordinate individual cases with the multidisciplinary team
- Complete related documentation to promote patient recovery
- Represent Salem Hospital in a professional manner
- Adhere to and enforce all Mass General Brigham & Salem Hospital policies and guidelines
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
- 5+ years of related experience in lieu of high school diploma/G.E.D.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or actively working towards or completion of a related Bachelor's Degree program in Behavioral Health or Human Services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful completion of restraint and de-escalation training within 30 days of hire, and annually
- Successful completion of AVADE Training
