Job Overview

Specialty Dental Brands is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Clinical Orthodontic Technician to become a vital part of our team. We are committed to delivering exceptional orthodontic services, including both Invisalign and braces, in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive top-notch orthodontic care while contributing to a positive and energetic workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate patient flow by promptly seating patients and initiating procedures.
  • Assist in the placement of elastic ties, chains, and wires.
  • Prepare teeth for the bonding of braces and attachments for Invisalign.
  • Monitor patients for loose brackets or bonds and provide guidance on oral hygiene practices.
  • Ensure all instruments are delivered to sterilization for proper cleaning.
  • Maintain organized and stocked drawers, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
  • Conduct debriefs with patients and guardians following appointments.
  • Perform X-rays, photographs, and iTero scans as needed.
  • Document notes for patient visits and schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Address any inquiries from parents regarding treatment plans.
  • Support the Orthodontist during various procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of the doctor during appointments and act accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and exhibit a sense of urgency throughout the clinic.
  • Participate in daily tasks assigned by the Clinic Coordinator.
  • Attend staff meetings and daily huddles to ensure team alignment.
  • Adhere to established office policies and represent the practice positively.
