Salary Range$65,000-$72,000 based on experience
Key Responsibilities- Utilize CalPortland's standardized ticketing system to log and resolve IT issues, ensuring timely updates and a focus on client satisfaction.
- Provide guidance on the selection, procurement, and deployment of technology, troubleshoot technical problems, implement new solutions, maintain equipment, and assess business needs for potential IT enhancements.
- Offer support for PCs, printers, peripherals, networking (LAN/WAN), telephony, and ancillary systems in accordance with established CalPortland Service Request and Change Control protocols.
- Install and upgrade hardware and software, including but not limited to PCs, printers, networking devices, and mobile technology for both corporate and operational facilities.
- Assess new information systems products or services and recommend modifications to existing offerings to better serve end users.
- Manage the ongoing hardware refresh initiative while achieving monthly objectives and maintaining prioritized efforts.
- Develop and uphold best practices across all locations as required.
A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Qualifications- A minimum of 3 years of IT experience is required.
- This position necessitates a physical presence at our regional office; remote work is not an option.
- Provide mid-level technical support and troubleshooting for all versions of Windows, with knowledge of networking devices and fundamentals of connectivity, as well as PC hardware setup and problem resolution.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking challenges.
- Familiarity with the management and troubleshooting of mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and mobile device management tools.
- Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.
- Participate in a rotation for after-hours support for high-priority issues approximately every four months, as our operations run continuously.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Coordinate IT-related tasks with external vendors to ensure thorough planning and execution of IT initiatives at regional sites.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized and adaptable self-starter, capable of managing multiple assignments simultaneously and adjusting priorities as needed.
- Physical capability to engage in activities such as lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs), working in confined spaces, running cables, and installing hardware.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for travel to regional locations, with company-provided transportation or mileage reimbursement available.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous IT experience in a construction or manufacturing setting.
- Experience in project management.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft) are preferred.
The successful candidate must undergo a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug and alcohol screening, and a background check. Some positions may require ongoing drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
