Plant Finance Lead

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Plant Finance Lead is responsible for overseeing daily financial operations and the preparation of cost-related information for the plant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the month-end closing process in collaboration with corporate finance teams.
  • Conduct monthly variance and trend analyses, reporting on actual versus budgeted figures, and work with plant management to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Manage and analyze all plant General Ledger accounts, ensuring prompt follow-up on any discrepancies.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and five-year strategic plans, guiding the management team through budget adjustments as necessary.
  • Supervise the capital expenditure (CAPEX) process, including the preparation of capital authorization requests and monitoring project spending.
  • Act as a role model in leadership, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement to align with the company's vision.
  • Collaborate with corporate finance and local management to establish system controls and improve existing procedures.
  • Coordinate the preparation of materials for external and internal audits.
  • Participate in daily operations meetings to provide comprehensive management support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of a four-year degree in business or finance, with at least five years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  • Completion or participation in a recognized professional accounting program, such as CPA, is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex documents and effectively present information.
  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts applicable to accounting and finance.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with SAP R/3 or similar software is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for corporate meetings.
