- Assists with the open enrollment and benefits administration process, ensuring seamless transitions for employees.
- Conducts thorough reference checks, background checks, and e-Verify processes to ensure compliance.
- Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance to ensure accurate and timely information.
- Delivers engaging new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward company goals and objectives.
- Provides expert guidance to employees and supervisors on HR policies and procedures, ensuring clear understanding and compliance.
- Assists with daily hourly timecards and maintains accurate attendance records, providing timely data to management.
- Supports the Corporate Recruiter with recruiting and interview processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient candidate experience.
- Assists with the performance review process, ensuring timely and accurate feedback to employees.
- Documents employee relation issues and consults with the HR Director to resolve conflicts and improve employee relations.
- Assists with employee terminations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and identify areas for improvement.
- Supports the HR Director with site-specific projects, ensuring successful implementation and outcomes.
- Safety Related:
- Assists with accident investigations and reporting, including documentation, write-up, and submission to the Workers' Compensation carrier.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date OSHA 300 logs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensures all employees in designated areas are up to date on medical surveillance requirements, maintaining accurate records.
- Maintains medical surveillance records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintains employer-sponsored PPE logs for employee reimbursement and ensures PPE meets specified requirements.
- Supports Management with any safety-related administrative support or projects as needed.
- Maintains employee training logs and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintains material safety data sheets, ensuring accurate and timely information.
- Supports the HR Director and Plant Manager with site-specific projects and initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and outcomes.
- 2-3 years of HR background experience.
- 1-2 years of safety exposure experience.
- Organized and detail-oriented with good time management skills.
- Excellent people skills, with the ability to relate to and work with hourly plant employees.
- Problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Excellent communicator, with strong verbal and written skills.
- Willingness to get out on the plant floor to meet employees where they are, fostering relationships and learning business needs.
