We are currently seeking a Claims Representative to join our Property, Auto, and Liability (PAL) Claims team, focusing on the resolution of mild to complex general liability claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the settlement of mild to complex claims by assessing liability and reaching agreements with claimants in accordance with policy provisions and authority levels.
- Evaluate coverage through thorough investigations, including reviewing claim forms, policies, and other documentation; interviewing claimants, insured parties, and witnesses; and consulting relevant records and experts as necessary.
- Address ambiguous claims by conducting investigations and analyzing evidence.
- Ensure accurate documentation of assigned files in compliance with company and state regulations.
- Compile reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing claim data.
- Enhance professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education and training.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent communication skills with a knack for relationship building.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and negotiate effectively while preserving relationships.
- Strong sense of accountability and adherence to rules and regulations.
- Proficient in analysis and investigation, utilizing facts to inform decision-making.
- Inquisitive nature with a desire for continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of claims handling experience, or 5+ years of claims handling experience.
- Familiarity with PC applications.
- Capability to obtain and maintain necessary licensing for state requirements.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
