In this position, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and assisting patients in selecting the perfect eyewear. Your duties will include:

  • Engaging with customers to understand their eyewear needs and preferences.
  • Recommending suitable lenses, coatings, and frames tailored to individual requirements.
  • Guiding patients in frame selection based on style, color, and optical prescriptions.
  • Processing orders and dispensing eyewear with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Providing assistance with frame repairs and adjustments.
  • Educating patients on the proper use and care of contact lenses.
  • Supporting the Optometrist with patient screenings and case histories.

Operational Standards:
Maintain a thorough understanding of third-party plans and claims, and ensure effective communication of promotions and special offerings to customers. Responsibilities also include:

  • Balancing accounts and preparing detailed work orders for the Optical Lab.
  • Processing medical billing information accurately.
  • Ensuring proper merchandising and inventory management of frames.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • State-required licensure.
  • Willingness to complete certification requirements.
  • Prior experience in a retail or optical environment is preferred.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to manage customer interactions effectively.

Work Environment:
This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to engage with customers at all levels. Physical requirements include:

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift 10 to 20 pounds.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
