Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of Communication Skills

Fox Valley Technical College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor of Communication Skills to teach Written Communication and Oral/Interpersonal Communication classes. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in English or a related field and a minimum of one year of work experience outside of education.

Job Summary:

The Adjunct Instructor of Communication Skills will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering instruction to students in associate degree, technical diploma, basic education, continuing education, and/or business and industry training programs. The instructor will also assess student learning outcomes and maintain accurate student attendance and grade records.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Facilitate learning by planning, preparing, and delivering instruction to students.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records.
  • Ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation.
  • Participate in activities of the instructional team, including planning, development, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Advise and support students as a mentor and role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in English or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience outside of education.
  • Previous teaching experience is desirable.
  • Experience with User Experience and CRM preferred.

Additional Information:

Hourly pay rate: $45.00 per hour. Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data.
