Job Overview

The Route Sales Representative plays a critical role in meeting customer needs through up-selling and cross-selling, while providing exceptional customer service by proactively managing all route responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solicit new customers and ensure a profitable product mix through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Actively participate in promotions, training, and audits to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure seamless customer service and installation of new customers.
  • Build relationships, communicate openly, and educate customers to ensure loyalty and retention.
  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, following all applicable laws and company policy, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular vehicle inspections.
  • Handle and process customer payments, keep route paperwork current, and ensure timely and correct deliveries of complete textile loads.
  • Monitor and report competitive activity, keep service agreements current, and renew as necessary.
  • Return from route and offload soiled textiles in the receiving area of the facility.
  • Accurately prepare route paperwork and follow check-in procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and CDL when applicable.
  • Excellent driving record with no chargeable accidents, speeding, or safety violations.
  • Minimum one year of safe and successful driving experience.
  • Excellent customer service and route sales skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with ability to comprehend and follow direction.
  • Ability to recognize colors, sizes, and types of product and count, add, and subtract accurately.
Education and Travel Requirements
  • High school graduation or similar experience.
  • Daily travel by delivery vehicle within a route.
