The Route Sales Representative plays a critical role in meeting customer needs through up-selling and cross-selling, while providing exceptional customer service by proactively managing all route responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Solicit new customers and ensure a profitable product mix through upselling and cross-selling.
- Actively participate in promotions, training, and audits to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure seamless customer service and installation of new customers.
- Build relationships, communicate openly, and educate customers to ensure loyalty and retention.
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, following all applicable laws and company policy, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular vehicle inspections.
- Handle and process customer payments, keep route paperwork current, and ensure timely and correct deliveries of complete textile loads.
- Monitor and report competitive activity, keep service agreements current, and renew as necessary.
- Return from route and offload soiled textiles in the receiving area of the facility.
- Accurately prepare route paperwork and follow check-in procedures.
- Valid driver's license and CDL when applicable.
- Excellent driving record with no chargeable accidents, speeding, or safety violations.
- Minimum one year of safe and successful driving experience.
- Excellent customer service and route sales skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with ability to comprehend and follow direction.
- Ability to recognize colors, sizes, and types of product and count, add, and subtract accurately.
- High school graduation or similar experience.
- Daily travel by delivery vehicle within a route.
