Division Overview:

The Pediatric GI Division of the Children's Hospital of Richmond of Virginia Commonwealth University (CHoR) is dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical care, teaching, advocacy, and research in pediatric gastroenterology.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible pediatric gastroenterologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in all aspects of pediatric gastroenterology and will contribute to the care of patients in clinics and hospitals, as well as participate in teaching and committee responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Provide guidance and mentorship to students, chief residents, and fellows in pediatric gastroenterology.
  • Research: Conduct research funded by grants or contracts, and participate in clinical, translational, and outcomes research.
  • Service: Serve on departmental or School of Medicine committees, and engage in professional service through journal review, conference presentations, etc.
  • Clinical: Provide clinical GI care, including call coverage and inpatient care responsibilities.
  • Other: Take on administrative duties associated with this role.

Required Qualifications:

  • Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Gastroenterology
  • Experience with clinical care of pediatric GI patients ages birth to 21
  • Experience in an academic medical center
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
