Job Summary:

EmergeOrtho is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in the field of musculoskeletal medicine. As a Medical Assistant Team Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical departments. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing patients for physician encounters, facilitating lab tests as needed, and assisting with patient documentation and clinical duties as directed. Additionally, you will serve as a key leader in the Patient Support and Clinical Departments, acting as a team captain and assisting with administrative and patient care issues on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for physician encounters and facilitate lab tests as needed

  • Serve as a key leader in the Patient Support and Clinical Departments
  • Act as a team captain and assist with administrative and patient care issues
  • Ensure a smooth operational workflow in all areas

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a medical office preferred
  • 2-3 years of strong clinical experience working as a primary medical assistant required
  • Radiology Technician preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows
  • Computer proficiency using Microsoft Word
  • Accuracy in obtaining and documenting past medical history
  • Knowledge of scanning as it relates to patient records
  • General understanding of patient support duties
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and demands
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to train new employees
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
