Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough patient interviews to collect and document medical history, medication reconciliation, and allergy information.
- Perform vital sign measurements and standard testing procedures as per clinic protocols.
- Coordinate and perform follow-up procedures as directed by a provider, including specimen collection and wound care.
- Assist with provider-performed procedures such as suture application and splinting.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care, including test and lab results, and practice policies and procedures.
- Document patient care in our electronic medical recordkeeping system, ensuring completion of necessary documentation and forms.
- Collect and prepare testing specimens for transport to offsite laboratories.
- Maintain and monitor consumable supplies and medications for effective clinical operations.
- Promote a safe, clean, and secure clinical environment, adhering to standard precautions and infection control principles.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, or NCCT NCMA).
- BLS certification.
- Ability to lift supplies and equipment regularly and navigate clinical areas actively throughout work.
- Prior work experience in a clinical setting.
