Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Northstar Behavioral Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Services
    • Transport clients to and from appointments, intake pickups, discharge drop-offs, and other scheduled events.
    • Ensure that vehicles are cleaned and maintained regularly, both inside and out.
    • Inspect vehicles daily and report any defects or damage to the supervisor.
  • Client Support
    • Maintain current knowledge of client activities and provide support as needed.
    • Ensure that clients are compliant, safe, and non-volatile during transportation.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Complete clerical assignments, such as faxing, copying, and typing documents.
    • Update Excel spreadsheets and maintain accurate records.
  • Program Support
    • Participate in client recreational activities and provide a positive role model.
    • Administer client medications and document accordingly.
    • Document client information in the communications log and complete other forms.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Interact and communicate with team members to support the mission of Northstar Behavioral Health Network.
    • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • CPR and 1st Aid certification or willingness to participate in courses provided by Northstar Behavioral Health Network.
    • Valid MN driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet research.
    • Physical ability to perform the responsibilities of the position, including bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and lifting at least 30 pounds.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
