Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications to clients and maintain accurate documentation.
- Stay informed about client activities and house operations.
- Transport clients to appointments, intake, and discharge.
- Ensure passenger safety and compliance during transportation.
- Coordinate work tasks with programming requirements.
- Set priorities for monitoring clients, documentation, and other assignments.
- Work independently with minimal direction and maintain confidentiality.
- Stay up-to-date on program philosophy, policies, and procedures, including 245G requirements and client rights.
- Assist counselors with intake, client orientation, and staff training.
- Encourage clients to achieve their goals through positive role modeling.
- Participate in client recreational activities and provide community resources.
- Document client information and complete necessary forms.
- Objectively document client-related topics in client files and communication logs.
- Exhibit diplomacy and sensitivity towards staff and client feelings, needs, and opinions.
- Complete clerical tasks, such as faxing, copying, and data entry.
- Assist with food preparation and household cleaning duties as needed.
- Adhere to attendance and absence policies.
- Report for work and shift change on time.
- Participate in rotational and off-shift schedules, including holiday rotations.
- Work additional hours or off-shifts as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- CPR/First Aid Certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Pass a background check.
- Knowledge of MN Statutes related to serving the population Northstar Behavioral Health Network serves.
- Understand and follow Northstar's Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite programs.
